Privacy policy

Effective October 11, 2026

wishu is still in the works, and all wishu.app runs right now is a waitlist. Here’s the short version of what we learn when you leave your email, and what we do with it.

Who’s responsible

The data controller is Nikita Obrekht, the maker of wishu. For any question about your data, email privacy@wishu.app.

What we collect

When you submit the form, we store:

  • your email address;
  • the date and time you signed up;
  • your IP address and browser name (User-Agent), to tell people from automated sign-ups.

The site doesn’t ask for your name, phone number, payment details or an account. Like any web server, the wishu.app server keeps a technical log of IP addresses, request times and addresses, and browser names.

Why

To email you once, when wishu launches. No newsletters, no ads. We don’t sell your address or share it with other companies. The technical log keeps the site running and protects it from abuse.

Legal basis

Your consent: you type in your address and send the form yourself. You can withdraw it at any time — email privacy@wishu.app and we’ll delete your address.

How long we keep it

We keep your address until we send the launch email, then delete the waitlist. Ask us sooner and we’ll delete it sooner. The server’s technical log is deleted automatically as it rotates.

Where and how it’s stored

Data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is stored on the site’s server. Only the data controller has access to it.

Cookies and browser settings

There are no advertising or analytics cookies or trackers on the site. It remembers just two settings:

  • the wishu_lang cookie — the site language you picked, kept for a year;
  • the wishu-theme entry in your browser’s storage — day or night theme.

Neither holds any data about you, and neither goes anywhere but wishu.app.

Third-party services

Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser shares its IP address with Google. The Telegram and VK links lead to other sites with their own rules.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent. Email privacy@wishu.app from the address you signed up with, and we’ll reply within 10 business days. If you think we’re violating your rights, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. We won’t use an address you’ve already left for anything but the launch email without your fresh consent.
